II Surface Electro-Mylogram
SEMG measures the amount of energy and balance in the muscles that support your spine. If the body is putting too much energy into your spinal muscles in a seated rested position – that’s that much less energy your body has to deal with other stresses it encounters.
Another
way to look at SEMG is to consider it a measure of your body's
perception of how it should be balanced compared to how it actually is
balanced.
The patient's sEMG scan is compared to normal. Coloured bars indicate increased tension, white bars indiate normal tension.
